Day 27 Last Day

Day 27 (8/11/07)

I did not get to finish my scarf of the states. I have finished up to Minnesota and it is already really really long. Pictured is the first six states. Drop me a note if you would like to see a picture of it when it is done, or if you would be interested in one of your very own.

Eric helped me hang up three of my other scarves that I make on the other wall. Doesn't the weather just make you want to wear a scarf?

Drawing came to a halt today, when I found this poor guy on my way to Diverse Works. I'm hoping I can get back on track, but I'm now even more worried that I won't be able to finish everything. Here is my plea:

I found this sweet, sweet boy limping across a busy street today. I
couldn't just leave him. I tried to take him to the SPCA and BARC,
both of which told me they would put him to sleep because he's a Pit
Bull. I couldn't do that to him. I took him to the vet and got all
of his shots. He's heartworm neg(good) and on heartworm and flea
prevention. He was limping because he had "road rash" on the bottom
of his foot, and just needs some Neosporin on it. I'm working on
getting him neutered, as I would not feel comfortable giving him away
unless he is "fixed". That being said, I can't keep him. I am not in
a place where I can have a dog right now. He is such a sweetheart
though and just wants to be near you all the time. We've encountered
dogs and children so far, both of whom he seemed to be fine with.
I'll let you know how the cat thing goes. Please, please, please let
me know if you or anyone you know might want him as a friend.
